The Annual Spring (2012) AWS/CWI PREP COURSE

The AWS/CWI certification is one of the most widely recognized industry certifications in the world. This course is designed for engineers, quality control & quality assurance personnel, project and contract managers, inspectors, construction foremen, welders and welding supervisors. The course offers training designed to prepare individuals, who meet the experience requirements of the American Welding Society (AWS) Standard for Qualification and Certification of Welding Inspectors, to take the AWS/CWI examination.

TUITION:

The fee for the course is $660.00 per person. A 10% discount is offered to those who sign up and have the tuition paid by March. 15th, 2012(Compare to other courses that are offered in the industry for the same exam prep this is better than 50% savings.) (Cancellations will only be accepted in writing (2) two weeks prior to the first day of the event. You will be refunded the full registration fee less $75.00 administration/processing fee.) (Tuition’s are none refundable after the start of the first class.) (If the class is canceled for any reason you will receive a complete refund.)

STUDY MATERIAL REQUIRED:

Students for the CWI exam prep classes are responsible to furnish his/her own study materials, this will include but not be limited to the API 1104, 20 th Edition with Errata/Addendum July 2007, Errata 2 December 2008. This code book can be ordered online at ihs.com or by phone at 800-854-7179, and AWS’ “Welding Inspection Technology Text (WIT)” at aws.org or phone 800-443-9353 (These materials are not included with the class price). Copies of some additional course text will be furnished.

EXAMINATION REGISTRATION:

Registration and cost for this course does not include registration and cost with AWS-National to take the AWS/CWI examination. A registration package/application for the AWS/CWI examination will be handed out at the first class. (This package and other information can be downloaded at any time from the AWS website at AWS.org).

WHEN:

The Classes are scheduled to start April the 16th, 2012 and will be held 2 nights a week, Mondays and Thursdays, from 6pm till ~ 8:30pm, for (8) eight weeks, in prepreation for the exam to be given June the 16th, 2012 in Beaumont, TX, approx. (1) one week after the classes are completed. (Class start date is subject to change.)
